It really annoys me when they remake an old tv show as a comedy movie.
Shows like The A-Team and Dukes of Hazzard had plenty of humour but Chips, 21 Jumpstreet and especially Startsky and Hutch should be remade as proper action dramas.

    Thought 21 Jumpstreet was decent.

All these reboots are obsessed with massive explosions and set pieces. Can even see it in both those trailers.

You arent the only one judging from Dwayne's eyeline in that shot.

The Rock says "are those standard issue life perservers or had you them 'specially made?!"

    Hacksaw Ridge 7.5/10
Based on a true story, good movie

    Fantastic Beasts 6/10
Doctor Dolittle meets Harry Potter ... kids will probably love it

    The Crash 4.5/10
Pretty poor tbh. Film about a plot to crash all the stock markets etc.

After the match on Saturday vowed not to watch any more football at the weekend and I didn't . Instead watched some cracking films.

Nerve - about a Game played online by people and they are dared to do stuff for money. Really enjoyable film

Patriots Day- Mark Walhberg is in it and it was super . It was about the Boston Bombing a couple of years ago so based on a true story . Brilliant film I would defo recommend

Barbershop the final cut - Good comedy with funny parts in it and very easy to watch .

Hell or High water - another good film about two brothers who are robbing banks in Texas to help pay the mortgage for the family land . Another one I would recommend .

I Daniel Blake ---- Very sad film as I bet this happens across the UK every day. It's about a man is trying to get onto health Benefits in the UK has he has Heart problems and the struggles he goes through to try get a few bob. Very sad film but well worth a watch .

Over all this weekend for a change I watched some decent films .

    Silence 7.5/10
Liam Neeson plays a lesser role than expected, but good movie with an intersting storyline about the attempt to spread christianity in Japan in the middle ages.

    Fences 6.5/10
Denzel Washington is starting to show his age in this one. Decent movie but I wouldn't be ranting about it.

T2 was enjoyable but was never going to be as good as the original. The original probably had one of the greatest movie soundtrack cd's ever imo. While I like the rubber bandits for what they do, their track in the film is terrible. Would make your ears bleed inside the cinema

Manchester by the sea was decent but quite boring. Casey Affleck puts in a superb job as lead to be fair. 7/10

Silence was similar. Good show great acting but quite boring imo 7/10

Also watched arrival from late 2016 and really enjoyed it tbh. 8.5/10

I watched the original just then for the refresher.

The music and the way it's used in it is superb. Same in T2?

I went to watch T2 today, they did a lot of stuff well but the story wasn't strong enough.
