It’s worrying how poor he is after getting at defending one on ones. So many times today fellas got beyond him and got a cross into the box. it happened an awful lot last season too. Miriam had him in the horrors.
Yeah I take your point. But when they got it wide at times and someone took him on it just looked like he was a yard off the pace. He couldn’t get near close enough to get a tackle in or stop the cross. I remember watching mitoma for Brighton last year give him an awful doing and I thought he was burnt out at the time. That’s no excuse now though.
Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to be sidelined for around 2 weeks. Scan today showed damage to his hamstring is only minor. Big relief. A doubt for Wolves away after the break - but he’s a quick healer. #LFC @JamesPearce Love to see it. From the whiskeynose book of not giving a shite about International football
Gonna be tough on Joe Gomez covering left and right back. Seriously though thats a major kick in the wobbly bits
Don't like the sound of that. Any sort of a ligament tear sounds fairly serious to me. Wouldn't be surprised to see this drag on or he might play in pain until the summer and get an op if required.
A few weeks sounds optimistic and going by recent predictions by the medical department, I’d surprised if we see him before end of Feb. massive blow for him and the team
I'm not optimistic he'll be back within the 3 week timeline. It'll be minimum 3 weeks to rehab the injury, then he has to get himself back to match sharpness. We were already thin on numbers at the back. We're heading into a busy period where we have must win games twice a week and our available defenders are: Virgil, Jarrell and Konate for CB, Gomez for LB and Bradley for RB. Doesn't seem like Kostas or Robbo will be back any time soon either. I'd love to see us sign someone to ease the pressure on Gomez and he can go back to filling out as backup for CB, RB and LB.
Did Jurgen say it happened last game? He showed no sign of an injury on Sunday. It’s no coincidence to me they’ve decided to treat it now during a month where we play least amount of games which might point towards weeks rather than months. Fingers and everything crossed it’s a speedy recovery.
Might explain why we called back Owen Beck. This was before the Arsenal game. So I suspect they knew it was comming. Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips back too
Finished the game that he injured it in and it didnt seem to take a feather out of him. I dont trust the timeframes we publicly put on our players injuries either, but that sounds minor to me.
They showed him pull up slightly on Sunday and begin to limp after tracking back and putting a challenge in because I remember saying it while watching on BBC. I thought he had ran it off as his performance for the remainder was absolutely sublime. Got a horrible feeling this will be a lot more than three weeks like every injury we announce but fingers crossed.
Yeah this is so grating. Klopp is as honest a person one could find in football yet when it comes to our injuries he's as evasive as the rest
