I hate to see these type of tweets as undoubtedly there is an element of racism involved. Why people need to comment based on guesses of a person's nationality before facts are established I will never know. Merseyside Police has said it is just one person that is unaccounted for and not two as those tweets alleged.
No doubt journalists love the dramatic angle. Police sniffer dogs at work. I'll be surprised if there is a different outcome than an all clear coming at some stage tonight.
How many places could they be in the stadium if they have gone missing? Surely it's just a case of locking down the stadium, doing a thorough sweep and if they are there grand if they are not they can just reopen the ground... Don't understand why there would be talks of calling off the game?? Or am I missing something?
Some fine aerial photography, pictures taken last week. http://www.airviews.photography/anfield-expansion/
Not sure what this piece of steel is or where it is going as part of the infrastructure, but it involved another big lift in the fog today. https://instagram.com/jordanedwards3008/
Had not realised the lift the other day was part of the platform for the new roof. Seems to be a very steep slope on the roof. Great pictures today showing another lift. Wonder if in the first picture the person on the suspended platform is guiding the structure into place.
Just from watching that video it looks like the plan is to leave the original roof on the ground right until the main stand is fully completed and one of the last jobs will be removing that. I'm very interested to see how this develops.
I'd have no idea about what was developing at the ground if it was not for the construction forum http://www.skyscrapercity.com/ that I visit most days. One interesting link I saw today was about Merseyrail developing a station at Anfield in the long term future http://www.merseytravel.gov.uk/abou...ear-rail-future-detailed-in-new-strategy.aspx • Converting Freight Lines to Passenger Usage Review the findings of the Northern Ports study to better understand the requirements for freight access to Port of Liverpool, but current plans include upgrade of North Mersey and Bootle branchlines to passenger services creating new routes to Ormskirk and Edge Hill; new stations at Anfield, Tuebrook and Edge Lane. Remember in the past Liverpool FC were going to have to part fund this line if they built a new stadium above a certain capacity. One other thing I have read on the above forum and don't know if true but will take at face value is that a person sitting in the highest row of the new Main stand will still be able a see a ball in the air to a height of 18m above the pitch with an un-obstructed view.
