Great save low down the other night, the one where there was a Palace player right in front of him in an offside position. Great feet and really trusts himself. Didn't like the bit where a ball was played over the top in the second half and Joe Gomez was after it, looked at the keeper and he was running back to goal with his back to play. He should have been out to mop that up. Small thing but it made me shout at the tv ha. Decent start, bigger tests to come.
I'm pretty sure Gomez gave him "the look" after that one too in fairness, I also thought it was plenty deep enough that the keeper should have tidied it up but they're still learning how they all interact with each other, the back 5 had never played together until two weeks ago.

Am I the only one who thinks that save was nothing special? Don't get me wrong,I'm happy for him to get all the praise in the world and his huge confidence is already rubbing off on the team and the supporters in the ground which is a huge plus,but I reckon Mingolet or Karius makes that save.
I have seen his highlight reels from Roma etc and it looks to me with his size, his excellent positioning and his ability to use his two hands a lot, that it makes really good saves look pretty standard to him.. De Gea for example there goes one hand a bit more stretched which makes it look a better save.

Punched one from near edge of the box. On the save, agreed it was a good height and any decent keeper would get to it. Think though the fact he pushed it away to safety whereas previous keepers may have palmed that out. Klopp said afterwards he wasn’t delighted with it his chip so can see Klopp trying to get a bit of that silliness out of him.

I think we have become accustomed to opposition teams scoring every time they have a clear chance. A free header not straight at you from 6 yards is generally a goal, always a goal were we are concerned.
Was I imagining it or late on in the game did I see him come out and punch a ball, but just before he made contact he had a look for who to punch it to? He proceeded to punch it to Robbo i think and we were on the counter
