As Jurgen said the respect shown to Ronaldo last season was impeccable, same again please. $-0 win here would do wonders for the moral. Jota to be back amongst scorers

We're going to hear more about anthems and minutes silence in the build up to this than football, that might suit us just fine right now.

I'm sure that loads will stay in the concourse instead of observing the minutes silence and then go up after it. Works for everyone then really doesn't it?

Kenneth Taylor and Mohammed Kudus are the players to look out for on the opposition side. Taylor is young but hugely gifted in the mould of Kevin de Bruyne and scored an excellent goal at the weekend from outside the box from a well worked free kick routine. He looks like he's got everything, love watching him, but lucky for us he's still young and inexperienced at this level.

Kudus made his CL debut against us 2 years ago but a Fabinho tackle 9mins in took him out for most of the season. He's back to his best now and scored a screamer against Rangers last week. He's playing more as a false 9 now than a 10 since Haller left and Brobbey refused to train after the club refused to sell him to United. But Brobbey should still play some role off the bench.

Ajax have won every game this season but this is a massive step up. They've lost a lot of regular players over the summer and this is the best time to play them, I think we'll do them 2 or 3-1

Yeah that would be the solution.

Minutes silence would be right at kick off though right? Can't see many waiting downstairs until the game starts to take their seats

One way of dealing with it. And hopefully the extra couple of minutes getting to your seat doesnt cost you seeing a goal!

Another would be join in with the 4000 Liverpool supporters from other countries and the several thousand Dutch fans and sing/say/shout absolutely nothing at all and let the people who feel the need to show their respect by singing away with themselves for 120 seconds and then forget about it and enjoy 90min of football

No way I'm sitting or standing for a minutes silence.
Will wait in the kitchen until I hear the whistle.

I'll probably mute the TV so they can't hear me talking through the minute's silence.

Nice looking team that one. I hope Elliot can get a chance to shine in a more balanced midfield now.

It's Trent again. Hard to deal with such a defensive weakness, teams have a very easy way in unchallenged.

Been a good match overall, we look much more balanced in the middle and up front with this team.

solid up front and in the middle, a decent threat tonight too but usual at the back 1 chance 1 goal

Haven't seen the goal yet but on a couple of message threads I've heard...'Virg just standing watching again' and 'Elliott and Fab didn't track'

I would like to see it again but it is the lack of tracking back from midfield more than Trent for the goal, also a super finish.
Better performance but need to be taking our chances. Nice goal for Mo.

What’s with the hands behind the back , it just lets the opposition know there not getting tackled and they have more time to settle and shoot .

Going forward we have looked great ,I’d like to see Salah more centred
