Ram-raid gang smash into Liverpool star Jermaine Pennant's mansion while he and his fiancée were sleepingBy Daily Mail Reporter Last updated at 10:20 AM on 02nd December 2008 Comments (1) Add to My Stories Ram-raiders tried to smash into the mansion of a Premiership footballer and his fiancée while they slept inside, it emerged today. Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant and model Amii Grove were woken up by thieves repeatedly crashing a stolen Land Rover into their electric gate. But the raiders – believed to be after the Pennant’s sportscar collection – fled when the player raced out the front door of his £3million house in Hale, Cheshire, to confront them. Shocked: Jermaine Pennant in front of his smashed gate after the raiders' attack Moments later, they lost control of their powerful car, crashed into a nearby property and abandoned the vehicle. Police later recovered bolt-cutters from the burnt-out Landrover following the dawn raid yesterday.
We all have our opinions on Pennant, but this is not good, wheres the madness going to stop WAGs must be living in fear of there lives on a daily basis.
this business is getting disturbing, what the hell is going on? well now at least the raiders aint liverpool fans, they would have known pennant isnt on the match squad!
While not knowing the ins and outs of the situation, I wonder if the agressiveness of this attack (I dont believe the other robberies were ram raids?) I wonder is this attack perhaps related to some alternative matter than a robbery.
Roque Santa Cruz was playing for Blackburn and 'armed men' stormed his house last weekend. His wife and three kids were in the house along with his brother. They held them at gun point and made off with a shit load of jewellery. Footballers are some of the richest people in England now and are a soft target, many of them are young lads and probably take it for granted. Its only a matter of time before there is a kidnapping/ransom or something similar to that. I remember watching that Dream Team dirt a few years back and some of the storylines seemed very far fetched. Now they don't.
I really hope these vermin don't find out where Torres lives. The last thing we need is him packing his bags. The second last thing we need is him not being fit.
That thing about Santa Cruz is shocking. You never hear of something like this happening in Spain or at least I havent anyway. The ram raid attack seems especially aggressive though. You'd imagine the police would be aware of the more high profile targets and would act accordingly. Maybe time has come for players to increase the security around their homes for the good of their families
I think your right I'd say his father owes a bit of money to a few "friends". doesn't sound like the other jobs at all which I think are an inside job
jesus lad good thinking if they go near his house he might feck of so pls god they wont go near his gaf
Are you that priest off Father Ted who goes around trashing everything?? "Sure you could talk that into coming down!"
