I have been busy the last few weeks so haven't really been up to date with the site. I see we have had adverts placed on the board, obviously this is a financial decision undertaken by the powers that be however I just wanted to point out that adds which frequently pop up on my browser are advertising a fantasy football league by the s*n and another offering the touting of tickets. Is it just me or are these adds on other peoples browsers aswell, if so surely the advertisements are detriment to everything Irish Kop has worked so hard for.
As far as I know Paul can delete any ads he doesn't want so he won't be aware of the link to the scum. It'll be gone as soon as he gets on here. The ads are for non-reg people and mainly to help cover any running costs but there's a new donate tool now so hopefully that may pick up a bit if people throw a euro or whatever it'll all add up etc
That add is gone,it got around the system as it was not a sun link it was some English betting shop chain and it was sponsored by the rag.Thanks for bringing it to my attention. One other thing,you should not see adds are you sure its not just when you are not logged in...?
No worries, My profile on here logs in and out all of the time when I click in and out of threads/forums etc. Its always been like that with my account so i've just noticed now that it has only been happenin whilst I've been logged out.
The system is setup that guests & new members only see adds,if users are not going to get involved in the community they will not be free loading.
I forgot to add,if anything like this pops up again drop me a PM as that way I will get a email to my phone and can deal with it right away.
No,I have been messing around with the adds,will fix this asap. While messing around I lost my list of blocked adds,will also have to fix this. Thanks for the heads up lads.
Might be an idea to have ads running constantly on the top right corner- even when logged in? Help with costs and not overly intrusive
As I said above I lost my blocked list so if anything inappropriate pops up post here and I will block it.
