That's it , his best days are behind him . Winning the league last season would have been fitting for such a legend to end his career with us .
Just can't see why he is still being played in a central midfield role when he clearly hasn't the legs for it and the premiership is a fast paced league. Should be in behind the striker if he plays, a player with Gerrards ability never loses his creativity but stamina has been waneing for quite some time, maybe because of the many years he dug this club out of trouble who knows? His lethargic performances of late have effected the tempo of our game to be honest. Id love to see him playing more advanced in his last few games for the club.
If you didn't get a PM then I wasn't referring to you. In all seriousness vodkacolly below summed it a tiny bit more eloquently than me. Numerous posters across 3 different threads have implied he's not fully committed. That is disgraceful behaviour imo and I stand over calling them .
How ironic, you refer to other peoples behaviour as being disgraceful when it's your behaviour on here thats actually disgraceful ! Vodka's post was spot on, in terms of how he put his view point across... perhaps there's a lesson to be learnt there Bobby
Question his legs and his performances but who the **** is anyone to question the mans heart or commitment he's giving more to this club than anyone. Could easily have left for any of the worlds bests sides and more money any time from 2000-2012... Deserves more than the shite our uber fans are throwing at him. I wouldn't go as far as wankers but downright disrespectful and actually pathetic some of the stuff I've heard. If our team ever gets as bad as our fans then we really are ****ed. Football is dead. Think someone touched on it here earlier in thread, its a not a case of SG "not giving 100%", or "his heads in America". He physically hasnt got 90 minutes in him anymore, and hasnt had for awhile now. Hes gave his heart and soul down through the years, and gave us so much memories, deserves a bit more respect from some on here imo.
I wasn't referring to here specifically richie, I refer to the Dave Hendricks of the world and the rest of the too cool for school Twitter gang who know far more about football than you can dream off. I've seen Gerrard called a shithouse on Twitter was fuming last night. An uber fan too me would be the like of the above who are always looking to get ahead of the posse an example of this is for these lads to freely abuse carra, dead trendy that. It's fine to disagree with him but the lack of respect amongst our fan base is sickening for me and was fuming last night. Gerrard a shit house.... I've seen it all. I love Liverpool and could never not but football makes me sick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dave Hendrix is a gobshite, has me blocked, he's a dub living in Australia who thinks FSG run everything past him
Ah no i'd disagree with that, if he was fading after 60 mins sure you could say the body is betraying him and he's not up to 90 mins, but he cant even get going in matches now, its like hes not even on the pitch half the time jogging round the place as the game passes him by. Think of exactly 12 months ago, he was playing 90 mins every game and driving the team on like he did in his 20's has his body failed him so much that he is operating at 20% of last year or is it the case that once he decided to leave his drive on the pitch left him too? for me its the latter.
I think mentally and emotionally he is empty moreso than the physical side of the game. He hasn't lost his ability overnight and a fully focussed and happy Gerrard would still have a role to offer, perhaps best deployed in a role behind the striker. I think this long goodbye has affected him and trying to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer the main man at the club is hard for him to have to come to terms with. I don't think by saying he has lost focus or his head is away somewhere else that this should be confused with calling him a mercenary **** or whatever other names. If you ask me, he has made the right move by leaving the club this summer, he deserves to spend a spell away from the city where has carried the burden of leading the club almost all of his career. He owes the club nothing though and if he has lost a bit of focus in recent months I certainly don't think anyone could justifibaly claim its because he didn't care, that's ridiculous.
I hope just rested. All games are dead rubber now and heading over on Saturday so hopefully a game to say Good bye to a playing Legend.
Good pic but looks photoshopped For me not even a debate - lifting oul big ears is/was/will be best pic of the legend!
