fahey off to birmingham anyway. cracking player. i hope they get into EPL next season.

big move for fahey, its not like other LOI players that move abroad, he'll be under serious pressure to perform from the start.

hes got the talent but will he have the mentality?

Bohs set to lose 7 and bring in 4.....

    Think they will be...

    Out
    Connor Powell
    Minduagas Kalonas
    Joxer Kelly
    Gary Deegan or Glen Cronin
    Killian Brennan
    Neale Fenn

Plus if the money is right Brian Murphy.

    In
    Gary O Neill
    Stuart Byrne
    Brian Shelly
    Paul Keegan (drogheda)

These were supposedly the plans after the court case, however nothing will be happening until after the appeal.

P.S Best of luck to Keith Fahey, absolute cracking player and Pats will struggle without him. I feel Fahey and Brian Murphy would easily slot into the Championship

LAds Bohs are screwed look at this

Murphy clause adds to Bohs' woes

BOHEMIANS may receive a double blow this week as they face the prospect of watching their most prized asset, Brian Murphy, leave the club for free, while the rest of their contracted players were yesterday refusing to accept a 30pc wage cut.

Hibernian, Dundee United and Derby County have all expressed an interest in star goalkeeper Murphy this week and it is expected offers will be made in the coming days.

But the Irish Independent has learned of a clause in the Waterford native's contract which allows him to move to a British club on a free transfer within a two week window, which started last Sunday, despite there being another year left on his Bohs contract.

Murphy last night declined to comment on his contractual situation but Bohs General Secretary Gerry Conway admitted that the clause did exist which could see the 25-year-old move for no money.

The players, meanwhile, were up in arms yesterday after they were asked to take a 30pc wage cut just days after they sealed an historic double by beating Derry in a dramatic FAI Ford Cup final.

It is understood captain Owen Heary met the rest of the squad on Wednesday night to discuss the wage cut but there was unhappiness amongst the players, not only over the request itself, but also regarding the fact that no board members were present to discuss the proposal.

PFAI General Secretary Stephen McGuinness said last night: "Any cut on players' wages has to be fully justified but players are meeting board members (last night) to find out the details and I will be meeting Gerry Conway (today).

"Cuts have been taken by players in the league this season to help clubs from going out of existence but taking a cut to allow other players to be signed for the club involved is going to be a very hard sell for these players."

Hope Fahey does well, easily good enough. He'll probably get in Traps next squad as well as he suddenly gets better over night for moving to England

Brian Murphy is good enough to play in the premiership.

No mate he just signed for Bohs. Bohs being the club to sell part of there stadium twice nothing suprises me with our board. they refuse to fill the members in on whats happenning at the club, and when the members get to vote on things it will only be accepted if it's to the boards benefit. People being barred from the stium for throwing till-roll or slagging the board. Dalymount park is like Nazi Germany under this board.

Fans of Bohs will probably end up leaving Dalymount regardless of what happens in a couple of years time to fund the stupidity of Gerry Conway and the rest of the spoof board. Fans will be leaving with a tear in there eye while the board will leave with a smile on there face and a few 0000000's in there bank accounts.

The Murphy deal is probably dead in the water as the lad might have a bit of decency about him and hang on and get a fee for the club.

Joxer is off to Rovers (as will Nutsy be in a year or two, trust me).

Paul Keegan is the fella from Drogheda that played with Leeds, he's bald and is about 23, I think your thinking of Paul Keegan who used to play for Bohs upfront? A beanpole striker?

Hopefully the club get something for promising talent, i hate other clubs getting away with murder taking him over there and not having any risk at all on their part. If they pay a little bit of cash for him they might have more regard on him and actually give him a decent chance! Although as you say the money that the club get for him may not be best used for the purpose of the team.

Yeah i was thinking of that guy! sorry!! Havent seen any league of ireland last season, I was wondering how the feck Keegan was doing so well!!
From major league soccer to Longford town, careers dont get much more glamorous than that!!

McGinn signed for Celtic today too. Good player but should have like Fahey went to England but his heart ruled his head.

Aparantly the high earners are prepared to drop 10% which is good, the club isn't as bad as first thought however as it is expected the building triangle to go on for another while yet and that the harristown deal can still be passed through as the two builders bid to buy each other out.

All players under contract are being kept and were trying to re-sign some players that ran out of contract.
