I think there is enough rugby support for this thread, so here you go. Anyway to get the ball rolling, some shocker of a preformance by Leinster V Connacht, wasn't it? At least Leinster won.
Thanks pal. It's all I have to say on the matter, but hope the thread takes off. Welcome to the site.
If anybody wants to watch the 2nd half of the Ospreys v Munster game and you don't have Sky its available on either the red button on BBC or on BBC 2W
Good win for Munster but seeing Quinlan and Warwick going off to add to the casualty list won't be good before the big HEC match
I can see no reason why we can't have a good old rant on rugby! London Irish are having a great season although a 14-8 defeat to Sale just doesn't help their cause. Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connacht have all done well in the Celtic league. Ireland have underacheived as per usual and with some of the most talented backs in the game we continue to play a tight game and don't unleash them. Enough topics there, lets go?
Il take yaup on talking about the Irish backline... James Hook called O Gara the best out half in Europe yesterday and i agree and i also think Darcy Kearney are quality and O Driscoll is SO frustrating he has amazing ability but when the goin gets tough he either disapears, tries stupid little chips that never work or comes off crying wth an injury. The scrum half position is well covered. The wings are the debate. Trimble,Fitzgerald,Murphy,Kearney,Dempsey,Bowe six players to make up a back . I have never seen anything amazing from Tommy Bowe(Barring maybe vs Scotland in last years 6 nations) so i dont think hemerits a place and i think Murphy gets aterrible raw deal when it comes to starting teams. So all in all my backline would be 9.O Leary 10.O Gara 11.Trimble 12.Darcy 13.O Drisscoll 14.Kearney 15.Murphy
15: Rob Kearney 14: Shane Horgan 13: Brian O’Driscoll 12: Felipe Contepomi 11: Gordon D’Arcy 10: Isa Nacewa 9: Chris Whitaker 1: Stan Wright 2: Brian Blaney 3: CJ van der Linde 4: Leo Cullen CAPTAIN 5: Devin Toner 6: Rocky Elsom 7: Sean O’Brien 8: Jamie Heaslip REPLACEMENTS: 16: Ollie le Roux 17: Cian Healy 18: Malcolm O’Kelly 19: Stephen Keogh 20: Chris Keane 21: Luke Fitzgerald 22: Girvan Dempsey
Bloody close finish that. Should see LEinster in good fettle for the big showdown with Wasps. Long weekend I'm gonna have, Twickers the Sat, Anfield the Monday!!
Leinster team v Wasps 15: Rob Kearney 14: Shane Horgan 13: Brian O’Driscoll 12: Felipe Contepomi 11: Luke Fitzgerald 10: Isa Nacewa 9: Chris Whitaker 1: Stan Wright / Cian Healy 2: Bernard Jackman 3: CJ van der Linde / Ollie le Roux 4: Leo Cullen CAPTAIN 5: Malcolm O’Kelly 6: Rocky Elsom 7: Shane Jennings 8: Jamie Heaslip REPLACEMENTS: 16: John Fogarty 17: Cian Healy / Ollie le Roux 18: Trevor Hogan 19: Sean O’Brien 20: Chris Keane 21: Gordon D’Arcy 22: Girvan Dempsey
leinster backs were shocking again today.the worrying thing is the leinster backs coach is also the ireland one, could be a long six nations
Leinster away to Quins in the Qtrs (at TWICKERS hopefully!!) and Munster home to Ospreys. real chance of two through to the semis!
