Update...... got this when tried to edit something a few minutes after the original post: I got the above message and couldn't update the post I had created. While obviously no one wants a smart ar$e changing a comment after they have posted it and being called up on it, the 5-min rule is far too short imho. In part, it may be because some of us open several windows with different threads, so flip between them after posting and don't review their posts in time and in part, because those of us posting late at night (possibly after a few pints etc.) won't get back to the post within 5-mins for all sorts of reasons. I personally think as long as the time and date of the edit are shown, it's all grand. Those wanting to call someone out, simply just quote the post at the time they reply and their quote does the needfull... but if there needs to be a limit then 5-mins is too short, imho. Thanks.
Not too much no but I wouldn't spend hours on the site. Generally when designing an interface you would tend to avoid colorful screens like reds and blues. This site isn't used for professional purposes so it wouldn't apply as much here.
I just sent out an email to all members about the new site. Not sure if they are sending, if anybody gets one can you let me know here...?
I changed the quotes, they are now a bit darker to distinguish them. Also helps with less white on display,
Looks great. Only minor suggestion I'd make is uppercase K for Kop i.e. IrishKop.com in the banner above. Other than that it's great. Keep up the good work.
One small thing Paul is when browsing on the phone it doesn't show who posted last in a thread like it does on desktop. It makes it much clearer to see the thread has been updated by someone else since you last checked. It shows your own avatar to show which threads you've posted in but you kind of know that already. It would be better if you could see the avatar of who last posted instead. Not sure if it's possible to change but would be useful I think
Slight criticism. Maybe I'm usin it wrong. In the old format you could click on last page of thread. Here we don't have that option. Must click on thread first and then go to last page.
Got your email thanks Paul - site looks good, well done ! I noticed in an earlier post you said there is now an edit.....er, I'm probably dim, but where exactly on each post is the edit tab ?
