Couldn't be arsed trying to contact Ryanair, rang my bank and they said there's no transaction from yesterday for Ryanair or even a pending transaction so I just booked the flight again, used revolut this time and got the confirmation email straight away.

what’s the story with random allocation now? Is there still some shenigans with being restricted. Flown Aer Lingus a good bit recently and usually wait to the last minute for random allocation check in with Ryanair and sometimes get the extra legroom as no one else wanted to pay for them

Yeah later the better for check-in IMHO, they tend to fill the middles early - although you do risk going on the beer, leaving a pub at 0200 and waking up realising you never checked in for a flight in two hours :-(

£90 in JLA for that error

Definitely check. I got caught out like this last season. The booking on the app vanished, payment came back to me and they said the booking hadn't gone through at the time of paying.

Was £55 for me in Manchester earlier in the season having just missed the cut off

From now on I stick a phone reminder everytime I book the flight to make sure I'm checked in before travelling to the airport

Is the cut off point still 5 hours before departure time?
