Jackie 7/10 Good film good acting ... may not be everyones cup of tea given it's a kinda biography about her experience with JFK through his murder and thereafter.
Put this on recently via Exodus... subsequently discovered that someone at Exodus made a bad mistake and linked this rather than this Health warning: If you happen to turn on a film called Split which has anything to do with bowling in it, turn the thing off immediately as otherwise, you'll be just kissing away part of your life for no good reason.
Saw a few recently.... Doctor Strange I'm a fan of all things Marvel, so this was right up my street ... 7.5/10 Collateral Beauty Good story, well played parts etc. 7.5/10 Bad Santa 2 If you like the first one, you'll like the second one... personally, I did: 7/10
Watched Hacksaw Ridge last night and found it very enjoyable, great feel good factor about the whole thing. 7.5/10
Hacksaw Ridge, Nocturnal Animals and Manchester by the Sea...all very different but all good, particularly Manchester. However it is VERY slow and at over 2 hours long , you really feel it, so it wont be for everyone. A Monster Calls was ok but pretty dark for a PG rated movie. Thought Dr. Strange was the worst movie I've seen in years but I am not a Marvel fan (although I liked the Iron Man and early XMen movies) so if you are in to Marvel, it's probably fine.
Captain Fantastic 7.5/10 - didn't think I'd like it, but was plesantly surprised.... The Shallows 7/10 - decent movie, but there will always only be one killer shark in my mind and his name was Jaws
Watched Catch Me If You Can the other day, cracking film. Di Caprio and Hanks don't do many bad films do they?
HIdden Figures 8/10 Really good movie, based on a true story which tugs on the heart a little from time to time....
The Last Arcade - Arcades are great and this film highlighted that The Fundamentals of Caring - Rudd, Roberts and Gomez in one film what more could you ask for! Very moving and surprisingly funny Raving Iran - I just want to go for a little rave now. Excellent story.
